Café 100

Café 100 is a family-owned restaurant serving traditional American breakfast and lunch staples. The interior of the converted blue house is small and welcoming, with works by local artists brightening up the walls. On a warm day, you can enjoy the shaded, spacious terrace. With live music at least three nights of the week, it’s also good to start your night out. Mickey & Mooch is renowned for steaks and cooks them to your order. The jumbo lump crab cakes are another standout dish, with plenty of real crab meat. Save room for the award-winning chocolate mousse cake – all seven layers of it!

Phở Ginseng

If you’re looking for a change from steak, try Phở Ginseng, with its authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Items on the traditional menu include steamed rice with BBQ pork chop, shredded pork skin and egg or grilled chicken vermicelli with mint & basil. But it is the phở, the Vietnamese beef bone broth, that has set local tongues wagging. Try the raw beef version or the chicken phở – phở ga. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn’t have an alcohol license; try the Vietnamese coffee or the selection of teas which includes ginseng and oolong.
